For example, in Los Angeles County, it is illegal to drive a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Furthermore, if you operate a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or higher you could be found guilty of this section even if the prosecution cannot prove that you were driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The consequences of a conviction can include jail time, interlocking devices, alcohol school, large monetary fines, probation, community service and restitution.
