What am I Entitled to under Workers Compensation?
You might be entitled to temporary total disability (TTD), permanent partial disability (PPD) or permanent total disability (PTD) compensation and compensation for future medical expenses. We can obtain workers compensation benefits for you. If you get hurt on the job, we will ensure that your employer pays for hospital bills, doctor bills, diagnostic testing, physical therapy, medications, and surgeries. While you are receiving treatment, you will receive approximately 2/3 of your average weekly earnings.
What to do if you're Injured on the Job
If you injure yourself on the job, notify your employer immediately and seek medical attention right away. This will assist us in having evidence of the date and nature of the injury. Show up to all of your doctors’ appointments, including your physical therapy. If your doctor provides limitations to your work, you must comply with those restrictions.
Your Legal Rights
You still have legal rights to obtain Workers Compensation benefits even if you are NOT a citizen or permanent resident. Even if you do not qualify to receive temporary disability benefits, the Employment Development Department (EDD) may award you disability benefits. You have a limited amount of time to make a claim and file an application with the board - do not delay if you were injured at work.
Workers Compensation Board Locations
Workers Compensation Boards are located in Anaheim, Bakersfield, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Marina del Rey, Oxnard, Pomona, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Ana, and Van Nuys. We will appear on your behalf to get you the most benefits allowed under the law.
